leadership & Hakomi coaching
The Collab Effect empowers leaders and teams across Western Australia’s public and local government sectors to collaborate with purpose and authenticity.
Based in Perth, we combine strategic leadership development with Hakomi-informed coaching – a mindful, body-centred approach that builds emotional intelligence, resilience, and presence.
Through 1:1 and group coaching, we help leaders navigate complexity, strengthen relationships, and create cultures where people and performance thrive.
When I signed up with Stacey my goal was to gain more confidence in myself, particularly the ability to sell myself effectively in an interview or a professional environment which was something I really struggled to do.
Over a 6-month period, Stacey taught me how to rephrase my thoughts from a negative to a more positive approach. You can imagine how this positive change flowed into everyday life and my professional life. I am more confident, strategic and feel so empowered.

Hakomi-informed coaching isn’t about theory – it’s about helping leaders in local government and the public sector show up with integrity, authenticity, and clarity.
It’s about slowing down enough to see what’s really driving behaviour, relationships, and decisions – and then creating the conditions for collaboration, creativity, and courage to thrive.

What Hakomi Coaching is
Hakomi coaching is a mindful, somatic approach to personal and professional growth. It integrates body awareness, psychology, and presence-based techniques to help people uncover the unconscious patterns that drive their behaviour and leadership style. Rather than “fixing” or analysing, it cultivates curiosity, compassion, and embodied insight.
Why It’s Transformative in Leadership
-
Awareness before action: Hakomi coaching builds deep self-awareness — the foundation of authentic leadership. Leaders learn to notice what’s happening in the moment (in themselves and others) before reacting, which leads to wiser, calmer decisions.
-
Mind–body integration: By tuning into physical sensations and emotional cues, leaders discover how stress, conflict, or uncertainty show up in their body — and learn to regulate and respond more effectively.
-
Empathy and connection: Hakomi fosters genuine empathy and grounded presence, enabling leaders to hold space for others, navigate difficult conversations, and build trust.
-
Sustainable change: Because the process works through embodied experience rather than intellectual analysis, changes are more deeply felt and lasting — transforming not just how leaders think, but how they are.
We offer one-on-one and group coaching, with a range of options to identify, plan and build meaningful change.
